Recently, I have found myself taking more time than usual to meditate and reflect. I acknowledge that we are living in times of significant change. Some people are afraid of the chaos they perceive, and although there are struggles and grief, I also recognize that when everything is in chaos – anything is possible! It is from this view that I share my hope for RK Buddhism and the world.

Starting today – I see members of the Dharma Center joyfully sharing the wisdom of Universal Truth together and with others outside the walls of our dojo. I feel we are opening hearts. I realize we are broadening perspectives and by genuinely reaching out to others, we are enriching lives for all beings.

Perhaps in the future, we will look back on this time in history and see how without denying the past, we chose to empower ourselves through creativity, emphasizing and implementing new possibilities for humanity.

To see that we took the energy previously needed to resist harm and oppression and instead refocused it by joining together to light the fire of compassion in our hearts.

To see that we were able to generate the power and ideas needed to protect our water-rich Mother Earth and nurture all beings, so that instead of barely surviving, all began to thrive.
